Yohan 3:16

By Petro Tumaini

The Passover (Currently known as Easter) celebrated by the majority of Christians in our generation does not reflect what Jesus instituted regarding it, actually even the name Easter is not rooted from the Bible I invite you to read this article so that you can discover the following.
Ø     What is the meaning of pass-over and a new name assignet to it in the Bible?
Ø     How Jesus celebrated the Passover?
Ø     What is the purpose of pasover?
Ø     How ought we to celebrate the pass over according to instructions of Jesus?
Ø     The wrong teaching emited by satan concerning Lord’s Supper(Passover)?

Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. Luke 2:41, 42
Its origin
While the institution of the Passover was pointing backward to the miraculous deliverance of the Hebrews, it likewise pointed forward, showing the death of the Son of God before it transpired. In the last Passover our Lord observed with His disciples, He instituted the Lord's Supper in place of the Passover, to be observed in memory of His death. No longer had they need of the Passover, for He, the great antitypical Lamb, was ready to be sacrificed for the sins of the world. Type met antitype in the death of Christ

HOW JESUS CELEBRATED PASSOVER(LORD’S SUPPER)
In the upper chamber of a dwelling at Jerusalem, Christ was sitting at table with His disciples. They had gathered to celebrate the Passover. The Saviour desired to keep this feast alone with the twelve. He knew that His hour was come; He Himself was the true paschal lamb, and on the day the Passover was eaten He was to be sacrificed. He was about to drink the cup of wrath; He must soon receive the final baptism of suffering. But a few quiet hours yet remained to Him, and these were to be spent for the benefit of His beloved disciples.  {DA 642.1}

John 13:3-15,         Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded... Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am. If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Matthew 26:226-29" And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it], and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, For this is my blood of the new testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my father's kingdom.".

The same manner of Celebration shown by Jesus in lords supper is the sama manner he ordered all Christians to celebrate till he comes, it doesn’t matter how most Christians celebrate the Passover( as it is called Easter) in this generation.
The manner is
1)     Washing each others feet. Symbolizes  humbleness)
2)     Wiping feet.
3)     Drinking unfermented grape juice/ wine (Vine).Symbolizes The saving blood of Christ.
4)     Eating unleavened bread.-Leaven represents sin (Luke 12:1-… Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.   now the Jesus had no sin  1 Corinthians 5:8          Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.  That’s why even the bread which represents his body is unleavened (Represents body of Christ who did not commit sin).

The broken bread and pure juice of the grape are to represent the broken body and spilled blood of the Son of God. Bread that is leavened must not come on the communion table; unleavened bread is the only correct representation of the Lord's Supper. Nothing fermented is to be used. Only the pure fruit of the vine and the unleavened bread are to be used (RH June 7, 1898).  {6BC 1090.7}
Important Lessons from Lords Supper inaugurated by jesus.

Another cause of dissension had arisen. At a feast it was customary for a servant to wash the feet of the guests, and on this occasion preparation had been made for the service. The pitcher, the basin, and the towel were there, in readiness for the feet washing; but no servant was present, and it was the disciples' part to perform it. But each of the disciples, yielding to wounded pride, determined not to act the part of a servant. All manifested a stoical unconcern, seeming unconscious that there was anything for them to do. By their silence they refused to humble themselves.  {DA 644.2}

When you refuse to attend Lord’s supper you refuse to acquire higher cleansing.
Solemnly Christ said to Peter, "If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with Me." The service which Peter refused was the type of a higher cleansing. Christ had come to wash the heart from the stain of sin. In refusing to allow Christ to wash his feet, Peter was refusing the higher cleansing included in the lower. He was really rejecting his Lord. It is not humiliating to the Master to allow Him to work for our purification. The truest humility is to receive with thankful heart any provision made in our behalf, and with earnestness do service for Christ
The Help given to students is also focus for us today.
Until brought into a state of humility and love, they were not prepared to partake of the paschal supper, or to share in the memorial service which Christ was about to institute. Their hearts must be cleansed. Pride and self-seeking create dissension and hatred, but all this Jesus washed away in washing their feet. A change of feeling was brought about. Looking upon them, Jesus could say, "Ye are clean." Now there was union of heart, love for one another. They had become humble and teachable. Except Judas, each was ready to concede to another the highest place. Now with subdued and grateful hearts they could receive Christ's words.  {DA 646.3}.
Christ has given a perfect exemplification of the unselfish ministry which has its origin in God. God does not live for Himself. By creating the world, and by upholding all things, He is constantly ministering for others. "He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:45. This ideal of ministry God has committed to His Son. Jesus was given to stand at the head of humanity, that by His example He might teach what it means to minister. His whole life was under a law of service. He served all, ministered to all. Thus He lived the law of God, and by His example showed how we are to obey it.  {DA 649.4}

This ordinance is Christ's appointed preparation for the sacramental service. While pride, variance, and strife for supremacy are cherished, the heart cannot enter into fellowship with Christ. We are not prepared to receive the communion of His body and His blood. Therefore it was that Jesus appointed the memorial of His humiliation to be first observed.  {DA 650.3}
To those who receive the spirit of this service, it can never become a mere ceremonial. Its constant lesson will be, "By love serve one another."
          Galatians 5:13.For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

THE PURPOSE OF LORD’S SUPPER
IT REMINDS US THE DEATH OF CHRIST FOR OUR SALVATION
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 1 Corinthians 11:26.
.
It is a vague idea as claimed by many Christians that they worship on Sunday to commemorate the rise of Jesus Christ from Dead, the only celebration and act which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus is (Lord’s Supper/Passover and Baptism Read Mathew 6:1-10.)

The salvation of men depends upon a continual application to their hearts of the cleansing blood of Christ. Therefore, the Lord's Supper was not to be observed only occasionally or yearly, but more frequently than the annual Passover. This solemn ordinance commemorates a far greater event than the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt. That deliverance was typical of the great atonement which Christ made by the sacrifice of His own life for the final deliverance of His people.  {FLB 302.2}

The symbols of the Lord's house are simple and plainly understood, and the truths represented by them are of the deepest significance to us. In instituting the sacramental service to take the place of the Passover, Christ left for His church a memorial of His great  sacrifice for man. "This do," He said, "in remembrance of Me." This was the point of transition between two economies and their two great festivals. {Ev 273.3}

IT ALSO ORDAINED FOR RECONCILIATION OF  CHURCH MEMBERS
Reconciliation one with another is the work for which the ordinance of feet washing was instituted. By the example of our Lord and Master, this humiliating ceremony has been made a sacred ordinance. Whenever it is celebrated, Christ is present by His Holy Spirit. It is this Spirit that brings conviction to hearts.  {Ev 275.1}
DURATION OF CELEBRATING LORD’S SUPPER.
The lord’s supper have to be celebrated every now and then and not annually as many celebrate the Passover, the act of mans salvation is to be engraved oftenly in his mind through Lord’s supper/
The salvation of men depends upon a continual application to their hearts of the cleansing blood of Christ. Therefore, the Lord's Supper was not to be observed only occasionally or yearly, but more frequently than the annual passover. (3SG 228).  {6BC 1090.9}

GOD WANTS EVERY BAPTIZED CHRISTIAN TO ATTEND/CELEBRATE LORD’S SUPPER

Concerning the lords supper god requires that every human being who wants to be cleansed with the savior’s blood to attend publicly, the denial of lord’s supper is the like the denial of Jesus Christ.

This ordinance is not to be exclusive, as many would make it. Each must participate in it publicly, and thus bear witness: I accept Christ as my personal Saviour. He gave His life for me, that I might be rescued from death.  {FLB 302.3}

None should exclude themselves from the Communion because some who are unworthy may be present. Every disciple is called upon to participate publicly, and thus bear witness that he accepts Christ as a personal Saviour. It is at these, His own appointments, that Christ meets His people, and energizes them by His presence. Hearts and hands that are unworthy may even administer the ordinance, yet Christ is there to minister to His children. All who come with their faith fixed upon Him will be greatly blessed. All who neglect these seasons of divine privilege will suffer loss. Of them it may appropriately be said, "Ye are not all clean."  {DA 656.4}

PREPARATION FO LORD’S SUPPER
The preparatory service has embraced all this. The self-examination, the confession of sin, the reconciling of differences, has all been done. Now they come to meet with Christ. They are not to stand in the shadow of the cross, but in its saving light. They are to open the soul to the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness. With hearts cleansed by Christ's most precious blood, in full consciousness of His presence, although unseen, they are to hear His words, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you." John 14:27.  {DA 659.1}

IT WAS ORDAINED FOR ENTIRE HUMAN HISTORY

"The Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: and when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me. After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till He come." 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

NO ONE HAVE TO BE FORBIDDEN
Christ by the Holy Spirit is there to set the seal to His own ordinance. He is there to convict and soften the heart. Not a look, not a thought of contrition, escapes His notice. For the repentant, brokenhearted one He is waiting. All things are ready for that soul's reception. He who washed the feet of Judas longs to wash every heart from the stain of sin.  {DA 656.3}

The communion service points to Christ's second coming. It was designed to keep this hope vivid in the minds of the disciples. Whenever they met together to commemorate His death, they recounted how "he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my father's kingdom." Matthew 26:27-29. In their tribulation they found comfort in the hope of their Lord's return. Unspeakably precious to them was the thought, "As often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." . . .  {FLB 302.4}

Christ rested in the tomb on the Sabbath day, and when holy beings of both heaven and earth were astir on the morning of the first day of the week, He rose from the grave to renew His work of teaching His disciples. But this fact does not consecrate the first day of the week, and make it a Sabbath. Jesus, prior to His death, established a memorial of the breaking of His body and the spilling of His blood for the sins of the world, in the ordinance of the Lord's Supper, saying, "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." 1 Corinthians 11:26. {FLB 303.2}

THE FALSE TEACHING FROM SATAN CONCERNING THE LORD ’S SUPPER

There is a false teaching especially in some Christian churches that the wine used in Lords supper and the  unleavened bread represents the actual body and blood of Jesus. This is not the biblical teaching for the bible shows that Bread and blood  represents the body of Christ they can be simply Symbols. Even Jesus said it is a fruit of vine not his actual blood.

Remember the words of Jesus  "he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my father's kingdom." Matthew 26:27-29.

The Scriptural ordinance of the Lord's supper had been supplanted by the idolatrous sacrifice of the mass. Papist priests pretended, by their senseless mummery, to convert the simple bread and wine into the actual body and blood of Christ. With blasphemous presumption they openly claimed the power to "create their Creator." {SR 334.1}

MAOMBI YENYE NGUVU

KANUNI NANE ZA MAOMBI YAJIBIWAYO NA MUNGU
Petro Tumaini

Endelea Kusoma jarida hili mpaka mwisho ili upate majibu ya maswali yote yaliyoorodheshwa hapo , Mungu akubariki unapoendelea kumtafuta kupitia maandiko matakatifu
DUKUDUKU kubwa ambalo huzuka kwa waKristo wafikiriapo upaji wa Mungu na jukumu la maombi katka mpango wa Mungu ni;

a.Isaya 44:3 .
Mathayo 7:7.Ombeni, nanyi mtapewa;tafuteni, nanyi mtaona;bisheni; nanyi mtafunguliwa. Warumi 8.32,Yeye  asiyemwachilia Mwana wake mwenyewe, bali alimtoa kwaajili yetu sisi sote, atakosaje kutukirfimia mambo yote pamoja naye?
a.      Waebrania 11:6.
a.Mathayo 6:12.

a.   Yakobo 5:11, Angalieni, twawaita heri wao waliosubiri.
a.Yohana 16:26,27.
a.Zaburi 107:8.

The students were listening solemnly to Jesus while He kept on speaking of last day events, suddenly Jesus  Spoke the parable of talents as a connection to the preparation of his coming, His lips were moving systematically and then he spoke some imortal words to his disciples.

Jesus said "For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them" , every servant was aportioned acording to his ability .one with five talents, the second one with two talents and the third one with one talent. That Man went away.

Jesus added, "The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work and gained five more... In the same way, the one who had two gained two more.But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in ."

It came to pass when the master of those slaves came back to settle his accounts with them,  to both of those two servants who duplicated wealth (talents) entrusted to them it was spoken" You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master."said Jesus.

The story was different to the third servant for  he decided to hid his masters money, this was the response of his master "Evil and lazy slave!...And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

LESSON TO OUR GENERATION
The master in the parable represents Jesus who who went for a journey when He ascended to heaven to prepare a place for all who will keep on trusting him, the servants are those people who have been saved with his Bloood.

As the matter of fact every human being who believes in Jesus, have been given a talent to use for salvation of others ready for rendering an account to Jesus when he comes in His second coming, may it be possession, singing ability, both inborn and acquired skills Jesus expect that we use them for salvation of others .

THERE'S NO EXCUSE THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TALENT
 All men have been bought with this infinite price. By pouring the whole treasury of heaven into this world, by giving us in Christ all heaven, God has purchased the will, the affections, the mind, the soul, of every human being. Whether believers or unbelievers, all men are the Lord's property. All are called to do service for Him, and for the manner in which they have met this claim, all will be required to render an account at the great judgment day.  {COL 326.1}
 But the claims of God are not recognized by all. It is those who profess to have accepted Christ's service who in the parable are represented as His own servants.  {COL 326.2}

NO ONE WAS EXCLUDED BY THE MASTER IN THE MATTER OF TALENTS
            It has come to be understood that talents are given only to a certain favored class, to the exclusion of others who, of course, are not called upon to share in the toils or rewards. But it is not so represented in the parable. When the Master of the house called His servants, He gave to every man his work. The whole family of God is included in the responsibility of using their Lord's goods. . . .  {CS 117.1}

DOES THE TALENTS FIXED TO PREACHING, SINGING AND TEACHING?

To a greater or less degree, all are placed in charge of the talents of their Lord. The spiritual, mental, and physical ability, the influence, station, possessions, affections, sympathies, all are precious talents to be used in the cause of the Master for the salvation of souls for whom Christ died.--R. & H., Oct. 26, 1911.  {CS 117.2}

I was shown that the parable of the talents has not been fully understood. This important lesson was given to the disciples for the benefit of Christians living in the last days. And these talents do not represent merely the ability to preach and instruct from the word of God. The parable applies to the temporal means which God has entrusted to His people. Those to whom the five and the two talents were given, traded and doubled that which was committed to their trust. God requires those who have possessions here, to put their money out to usury for Him--to put it into the cause to spread the truth. {1T 197.1}
            The special gifts of the Spirit are not the only talents represented in the parable. It includes all gifts and endowments, whether original or acquired, natural or spiritual. All are to be employed in Christ's service. In becoming His disciples, we surrender ourselves to Him with all that we are and have. These gifts He returns to us purified and ennobled, to be used for His glory in blessing our fellow men.  {COL 328.2}
FOR THOSE WITH MONEY
God requires those who have possessions here, to put their money out to usury for Him--to put it into the cause to spread the truth. And if the truth lives in the heart of the receiver, he also will aid with his substance in sending it to others; and through his efforts, his influence, and his means, other souls will embrace the truth, and begin also to work for God. I saw that some of God's professed people are like the man who hid his talent in the earth. They keep their possessions from doing good in the cause of God. They claim that these are their own, and that they have a right to do what they please with their own; and souls are not saved by judicious efforts made by them with their Lord's money. {1T 197.1}
There are men in the ranks of Sabbathkeepers who are holding fast their earthly treasure. It is their god, their idol; and they love their money, their farms, their cattle, and their merchandise better than they love their Saviour, who for their sakes became poor, that they, through His poverty, might be made rich. They exalt their earthly treasures, considering them of greater value than the souls of men. Will such have the "Well done" spoken to them? No; never. The irrevocable sentence, "Depart," will fall upon their startled senses. Christ has no use for them. They have been slothful servants, hoarding the means God has given them, while their fellow men have perished in darkness and error.  {CS 123.1}

The Great Sin of Professed Christians

     Every man, of whatever trade or profession, should make the cause of God his first interest; he should not only exercise his talents to advance the Lord's work, but should cultivate his ability to this end. Many a man devotes months and years to the acquirement of a trade or profession that he may become a successful worker in the world; and yet he makes no special effort to cultivate those talents which would render him a successful laborer in the vineyard of the Lord. He has perverted his powers, misused his talents. He has shown disrespect to his heavenly Master. This is the great sin of the professed people of God. They serve themselves, and serve the world. They may have the name of being shrewd, successful financiers; but they neglect to increase by use the talents which God has given them for His service. The worldly tact is becoming stronger by exercise; the spiritual is becoming weaker through inactivity.--R. & H., Jan. 1, 1884.  {CS 124.1}

HOW DO PEOPLE BURY THEIR TALENTS

  Those who are hiding their talents in the earth are throwing away their opportunities to obtain a star-gemmed crown. Until the great disclosures of the final judgment shall be made, it will never be known how many men and women have done this, nor how many lives have gone out in darkness because God-given talents have been buried in business instead of being used in the service of the Giver....  {CS 125.3}
Men . . . may be interested in mines which yield rich profit in silver and gold. They may devote a lifetime to securing earthly treasures; but they die, and leave it all behind. They cannot take one dollar with them to enrich them in the great beyond. Are these men wise? Are they not insane, to let the precious hours of probation pass without making a preparation for the future life? Those who are wise will lay up "a treasure in the heavens that faileth not,"--"a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life." If we would secure enduring riches, let us begin now to transfer our treasure to the other side, and our hearts will be where our treasure is. --R. & H., Oct. 7, 1884.  {CS 125.4}

IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS SERMON IS FOR YOU .
I hope efforts will be made in every church to arouse those who are doing nothing. May God make these realize that He will require of them the one talent with improvement; and if they neglect to gain other talents besides the one, they will meet with the loss of that one talent and their own souls also. We hope to see a change in our churches. The Householder is preparing to return and call His stewards to account for the talents He has entrusted to them. God pity the do-nothings then! Those who hear the welcome plaudit, "Well done, good and faithful servant," will have well done in the improvement of their abilities and means to the glory of God.--R. & H., March 14, 1878.  {CS 120.2}

THOSE WHO HAVE NO PROPERTY THEY STILL HAVE TALENT
  Some are willing to give according to what they have, and feel that God has no further claims upon them, because they have not a great amount of means. They have no income that they can spare from the necessities of their families. But there are many of this class who might ask themselves the question, Am I giving according to what I might have had? God designed that their powers of body and mind should be put to use. Some have not improved to the best account the ability that God has given them. Labor is apportioned to man. It was connected with the curse, because made necessary by sin. The physical, mental, and moral well-being of man makes a life of useful labor necessary. "Be not slothful in business," is the injunction of the inspired apostle Paul.  {CS 120.3}
I saw that those who have no property, but have strength of body, are accountable to God for their strength. They should be diligent in business and fervent in spirit; they should not leave those that have possessions to do all the sacrificing. I saw that they can sacrifice, and that it is their duty to do so, as well as those who have property.{CS 122.1}

   And the poor have their talent, which perhaps may be larger than any other mentioned. It may be simplicity of character, humility, tried virtue, confidence in God. Through patient toil, through their entire dependence upon God, they are pointing those with whom they associate to Jesus, their Redeemer. They have a heart full of sympathy for the poor, a home for the needy and oppressed, and their testimony is clear and decided as to what Jesus is to them. They seek for glory, honor, and immortality, and their reward will be eternal life.  {GW 330.3}

TIME
Time is money, and many are wasting precious time which might be used in useful labor, working with their hands the thing that is good. The Lord will never say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant," to the man who has not taxed the physical powers which have been lent him of God as precious talents by which to gather means, wherewith the needy may be supplied, and offerings may be made to God.  {CS 288.1}

GOD DOES NOT CHOOSE PERFECT PEOPLE BUT HE CONVERTS SINNERS
He chooses His agents not because they are perfect but because, through a connection with Him, they may gain perfection.  {COL 330.1}

GOD WANTS US TO CHANGE SO THAT HE CAN USE US
  Let no one say, I cannot remedy my defects of character. If you come to this decision, you will certainly fail of obtaining everlasting life. The impossibility lies in your own will. If you will not, then you can not overcome. The real difficulty arises from the corruption of an unsanctified heart, and an unwillingness to submit to the control of God.  {COL 331.2}

CONNECTION BETWEEN TALENTS AND REFORMATION

  It is the Lord's design that in every place men and women shall have the privilege of developing their talents by preparing healthful foods from the natural products of their section of their country. No man is to forbid them. If they look to God, exercising their skill and ingenuity under the guidance of His Spirit, they will learn how to prepare natural products into healthful foods. Thus they will be able to teach the poor how to prepare foods that will take the place of flesh-meat.  {MM 268.1}

NOW WHY MANY TALENTS ARE BURIED
Its due to lack of Holy spirit
  The promise of the Spirit is not appreciated as it should be. Its fulfillment is not realized as it might be. It is the absence of the Spirit that makes the gospel ministry so powerless. Learning, talents, eloquence, every natural or acquired endowment, may be possessed; but without the presence of the Spirit of God, no heart will be touched, no sinner be won to Christ. On the other hand, if they are connected with Christ, if the gifts of the Spirit are theirs, the poorest and most ignorant of His disciples will have a power that will tell upon hearts. God makes them the channel for the outworking of the highest influence in the universe.  {COL 328.1}...
My friend it is one thing to have talent and it is another thing to use it;
  • Do you know the talents which you have?
  • Do you use your talents Fof God's work or satan (selfishness)?
  • remember when Jesus comens if you will not use your talents for his work He will say "And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth"
